@Mohammed: I run it on a MAC with MAMP without any problem. So it doesn’t matter if you set a port number or not. I’m running on localhost:8888

No I haven’t tried a database host with a port number I have to say I will have a look into this.

I am in the process of getting an online demo setup of BackendPro. Should helpfully be up soonish. There will be a post about it when I am done.

Could you please include Codeigniter + BackendPro(installed) in to one demo file. I want to try it!

I am using MAMP local server. I tried to install the backend but it could not connect to the database.

the database host name is : localhost:8889

Have you considered localhost with port number!
