A Day in the Life of a Developer
Welcome to my blog. I have to admit I’m a bit of a late starter to this blogosphere stuff. I suppose before now I didn’t really have a use for one. Didn’t have many projects going on, just living life.
But as said, things change and here I am, and here is my blog. So I hope you enjoy it.
Let me introduce myself, I am Adam Price and am currently working for a software company called Logica. For many years now I have been using computers in some form or another. Before college I didn’t really have any reason to try and learn a programming language or develop anything. I first got into web development with a few projects with friends and instantly found I loved it. From there its just gone on and on. My expertise is in Web Development but currently have no paid commercial experience (I do it mainly for fun and a hobby). Having gone to the University of York I feel I have a good grounding in the world of computers and hopefully can pass some useful tips on.
Kaydoo is a random name I invented and liked a lot. I don’t think it has any special meaning. Hopefully I will be releasing projects under the new name soon. A sort of branding as you put it.
As said before this is my personal blog. So expect to see lots of things which interest me and information about jars I currently have fingers in (Is that a well known term?). So what are my interests? Currently and for the past humpty dumpty years I have been very interested in web development. I’m more of a technical developer, but can dabble in the design side a bit. So expect to see some articles on web development here. The main reason for this blog is to track progress on projects I am currently undertaking. As of writing, that is currently BackendPro, my website administration application. I suppose this is going to be a more technical blog than my personal life (no-one cares about that anyway). Hopefully I will also be publishing some articles I find interesting on topics I care for. So look forward to some on PHP, CodeIgniter, jQuery and even possibly some Java and Ada. As said I consider myself more than just web developer.
Anyhoo I hope this blog comes in handy to people, enjoy.
